Moravskoslezské Beskydy – pohoří na hranici České republiky a Slovenska. Je to nejzápadnější část Západních Beskyd ve Vnějších Západních Karpatech. Od severozápadu s výrazným prahem klesá v Moravskoslezském podhůří (součást Podbeskydské pahorkatiny), na jih od Wsetyńských hor je oddělen Rożnovským příkopem s údolím Dolné Beczwy, na jihu- na východě ji odděluje od Jaworniki horní údolí Kisuca, na východě od Beskyd Śląski odděluje Jabłonkowski příkop, kterým protéká řeka Olza, a Międzygórze Jabłonkowskie s vrcholem Girowa. Rozloha takto označeného mezoregionu je 623 km² a pokrývá jihozápadní část Těšínského Slezska a severovýchodní část Moravy.
Moravskoslezské Beskydy tvoří karpatský flyš, převážně slezský napa. Dominují mu godulské pískovce, tvoří se istebenské pískovce.
Fyzikálně a geograficky se tato pohoří dělí na tři mikroregiony: Radhošťská hornatina, Lysohorská hornatina a Klokočovská hornatina.
Nejvyšším vrcholem je Lysá hora (1324 m n.m.).
Smrk – vrchol s výškou 1276 m n.m. v Moravskoslezských Beskydech v České republice. Je to druhý nejvyšší vrchol tohoto pohoří. V jeho masivu lze rozlišit několik dalších vrcholů – Malý Smrček (711 m n.m.), Smrček (858 m n.m.) a Malý Smrk (1174 m n.m.). Vrchol je pokrytý lesem, pod vrcholem je paseka s rozlehlým výhledem na Moravskoslezské Beskydy.
Na severním svahu se nacházejí Bučací vodopády (Vodopády Bučacího potoka) – jeden z největších kaskádových vodopádů v této části Karpat. Dva hlavní vodopády dohromady měří 10 metrů a celková délka těchto vodopádů je 40 metrů. Na vrcholu a blízkém okolí vznikla přírodní rezervace Smrk o rozloze 160 ha k ochraně smrkového a jedlobukového lesa.
Nedaleko vrcholu jsou sochy studenta Jana Palacha a Johna Lennona.

Summer hiking in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids in the Czech Republic. From Ostravice, we follow the red trail to Smrk, the second highest peak of the Beskids. Initially, the trail leads through a beautiful beech and fir forest. We cross the Bučací stream and ascend to an altitude of 1,100 m a.s.l. where numerous willows and rowans appear, creating an interesting landscape. We follow a stony path to the Tajemná Řásnovka spring and a bit further we enter the Smrk pass, where the trails intersect. From the pass we ascend Smrek and then descend to the vantage point below the peak, from where there is a vast panorama of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Moravian-Silesian Beskids – a mountain range on the border of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is the westernmost part of the Western Beskids in the Outer Western Carpathians. From the north-west, it descends with a distinct threshold in the Moravian-Silesian Foothills (part of the Podbeskydská pahorkatina), to the south from the Wsetyńskie Mountains it is separated by the Rożnów Trench with the Dolna Beczwa valley, in the south-east the upper Kisuca valley separates it from Jaworniki, in the east from the Beskid Śląski is separated by the Jabłonkowski Trench with the Olza River flowing through it and Międzygórze Jabłonkowskie with the Girowa peak. The area of the mesoregion so designated is 623 km² and covers the south-western part of Cieszyn Silesia and the north-eastern part of Moravia.
The Moravian-Silesian Beskids are made of the Carpathian flysch, mainly of the Silesian nappa. It is dominated by the Godul sandstones, while the Istebna sandstones form.
In terms of physics and geography, these mountains are divided into three microregions: Radhošťská hornatina, Lysohorská hornatina, and Klokočovská hornatina.
The highest peak is Lysá hora (1324 m a.s.l.).
Smrk – a peak with a height of 1276 m a.s.l. in the Moravian-Silesian Beskids in the Czech Republic. It is the second highest peak in this mountain range. Several other peaks can be distinguished in its massif – Malý Smrček (711 m a.s.l.), Smrček (858 m a.s.l.) and Malý Smrk (1174 m a.s.l.). The peak is covered with a forest, below the peak there is a glade with a vast view of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.
On the northern slope there are Bučací Waterfalls (Vodopády Bučacího potoka) – one of the largest cascading waterfalls in this part of the Carpathians. The two main waterfalls together measure 10 meters and the total length of these waterfalls is 40 meters. The Smrk nature reserve with an area of 160 ha was created in the peak and nearby to protect the spruce and fir-beech forest.
Near the top there are statues of student Jan Palach and John Lennon.
